Will-Call Connectivity & Setup

To set up Will-Call, you’ll need to do three things:
Plug Will-Call power cord into a standard 120-volt electrical outlet.
Flip the power switch on the power cord up. That turns Will-Call on. You will hear two beeps indicating it is ready.
Unplug the standard cable and plug the 1/4 inch plug on the back of Will-Call into the wall mounted nurse call panel.
Note:
If there is no room to plug Will-Call directly into the wall panel, use the 1 foot extension cable (available on the Will-Call website that plugs into the panel. Then plug Will-Call into the extension cable and attach it to the wall next to the panel with adhesive Velcro.
If the nurse call panel does not use the standard 1/4 inch plug, select an adaptor plug for 8-pin DIN connection from the Will-Call website.

Will-Call currently recognizes the English voice command: “I Need Help.”

Will-Call can accurately detect voice commands from up to 10 feet away, making it ideal for use at the bedside or anywhere within a typical patient room.
An optional accessory is mic extension bringing the mic 4 feet away from the Will-Call unit. Available on the Will-Call website

Will-Call behaves the same way a regular nurse call cable reacts when unplugged. It immediately triggers a call to the nurse station—serving as a built-in safety backup.

No - the volume has been tested and locked in at a higher volume to ensure those who are elderly and have difficulty hearing can be re-assured help is on the way with a verbal confirmation.

A light blue light can be seen brightly at night and dimly during the day. This indicates Will-Call is on and working. You can always provide the activation code “I need help” and hear the verbal confirmation

Yes. Use Velcro to attach away from the nurse console.

Yes. Will-Call replaces the traditional nurse call button. It does not add or subtract or interfere with other devices that might already be in use with the traditional nurse call button.

Will-Call Test Drive Program

The Will-Call Test Drive is a free trial program that lets patients, caregivers, and healthcare facilities experience the device firsthand before making a purchase decision.

Any individual, caregiver, or healthcare facility in the U.S. can apply for the Test Drive.

You’ll receive a fully functional Will-Call device, power adapter, adhesive mounting strips additional jumper cables (need based) and simple setup instructions.

The standard trial period is 15 days from the date of delivery. If more time is needed, just reach out—we’re happy to accommodate when possible.

No. The Test Drive is completely free. There’s no payment, deposit, or obligation to buy.

We’ll contact you at the end of the trial with simple instructions. You can either return the device using the prepaid label we provide or choose to purchase it and keep it permanently.

Typically, we provide one unit per household or facility for the trial. However, if you have a specific need for multiple units—such as testing across several rooms—we’re happy to accommodate. Just let us know when applying.
